February 2021

couldn’t have been happier with the way it tur - ned out. Great job Will!!! Now I really like the video Blo- od is Not Blue. Who came up with the cool Zoom concept? We were working with our Manager talking about different things we could do during the quarantine to get new content out and keep things moving, and he just kind of tossed the idea out. We put it together to see how it would look and ended up really liking it. It was a fun way to do something we hadn’t really seen be - fore and kind of relate to the situation that us and a lot of our fans were learning to live in after some really big changes to the way the world was working at the time. With the lockdown in effect, many bands have done live chats or even streaming shows whi- le at home. How are you finding ways to utilize the time we have to improve your craft and still get out there to the public? We’ve also had the opportunity to do a few live stream shows, as well as being a part of a few streamed conferences, which was a lot of fun. We’ve also been spending a lot of time on writing new material and investing a lot in our social media platforms, trying to stay engaged with our fans as much as possible. So, I have seen clips of your shows and they seem very engaging and high energy. Now if you could put together a bill with bands that would complement your sound, and put on a great show, who would you invite? One band we’ve had the opportunity to play with that we would love to share the stage with again is Silent Planet. Their music is a little on the heavier side, but their energy is amazing, and a lot of their lyrical content has a similar message to what we write about. Beartooth is a band that had a huge influence on us early on and largely inspired our first EP so play - ing with them would be amazing. Linkin Park is another band that has a similar sound as well as some similar focuses on mental he- alth so I think they would be awesome to play with, plus who doesn’t love Linkin Park? And I think Periphery is someone who has inspired us more in our recent writing, and their sound is so unique and interesting, it would be just as educational playing with them as it would be fun. I love the choices!!! So now that 2020 has gi- ven us some hindsight, what is something you learned about the band or yourself that you plan to improve upon this year? A big focus in our practice lately has been im- proving our live show, just finding more ways to make it unique and interesting. Another thing we’ve been doing that we plan to continue is working on writing more and more to have content to put out as much as we can. I think the other big goal for us in the coming year is to hopefully get out to playing shows and start playing out more regionally and doing some weekend runs and tours and such. As soon as shows become a possibility again our plan is to hit the ground running and not stop anytime soon. Excellent!!! Well thanks so much for chillin with the Ryze-Fam today. Is there anything else you would like to say before we go? Thanks so much for having me!
