October 2024

Sales are everything. Disposable income is a hard luxury to come by right now, but if there’s an up-and-coming band you love or a local venue you enjoy hanging at, buy the $10/$15/$20 ticket and get a beer. It does make a difference. Looking ahead, what are your dreams for the next phase of your career? Are there any collaborations, new sounds, or projects that you’re particularly excited about? 2024 was supposed to be a banner year and ended up being one of the hardest. By June, I was considering stepping away entirely for a while. But sometimes record lows can lead to record highs, and now I’m planning my first full-length album with the most original material I’ve written in years while getting ready for a US/Canada tour with Diamante this fall and prepping for my shows on Joe Bonamassa’s KTBA cruise next March. I’m fully independent at this point, spiteful as hell, and love a good reason to sink my teeth in and draw blood. The new music is much more rock than it is blues, but there’s still songs to be written and I look forward to seeing how my songs evolve over the next few months to suit audiences of both genres. Well thank you so much for being an amazing interview. Is there anything else you would like the Ryze-Fam to know? My next single “Trouble In My Bones”, written by myself and Tuk Smith, will be releasing in September (and will also be my first Atmos-mastered song), and I’m really looking forward to the rest of the EP dropping later on this fall. And thank you so much for the phenomenal inter- view, it was a pleasure! 18
