I learned so much from watching and working with them. Their energy on set was so calmand confident it helpedme to do the same. They were both welcoming and kind! Very professional but also weren’t afraid to cut loose and have fun on set! Obviously to the world they’re Avengers but in real life they’re just people like me and you. Nowyoualsoshinebrightwithyourmodeling as well. As your career continues to rise do you think you will stop and concentrate more on acting or will you keep doing both? My focus is geared towards acting at this point in my career, but I don’t think I’ll ever stop modeling. Little did I know at the time that my modeling experiences would help me in my acting endeavors. I truly owe my comfortability in front of the lens to my modeling. Learning the art of movement and posing, how to walk, how to talk, and getting into mental and physical shape all played a part in preparing me for my acting career. I thought at one point I would quit all together because of the pressure and toxicity that can sometimes come with modeling. After some reflection I decided to take both the upheavals and the enlivening parts of the industry and tried to find a balance. Realizing modeling wasn’t about perfection to me, it was about leading a healthy and happy lifestyle. Ultimately, it was a lot of learning how to take care of myself and unlearning negative habits. It was learning about self-care and self-love. Something society plasters everywhere yet doesn’t effectively teach us in our adolescent stages. In hindsight though, I’m able to use these past lessons in my current work. Acting is similar in its lessons, but it predominantly teaches you how to be your authentic self in different scenarios. They’ve both taught me valuable lessons and so much about myself that I think they’re both here to stay while I continue my journey. You mentioned a healthy and happy lifestyle. That can be difficult in any job. But with the lights on you in a different manner, what have you been doing to keep work/life stable for yourself? It’s been beneficial for me to tend to my personal life just as much as my work life. Keeping the two separate helps too. When I’m with family and friends I try to stay off my phone and social media and just enjoy being in the moment. Having hobbies and interests outside of my career is a big one too. People tend to get so wrapped up in their work they sometimes forget who they are outside of it all. Lastly and arguably the most important one is that mentality is reality! Our thoughts and our words have so much power behind how we lead our lives. Yet as an artist we sometimes have the issue of leaning into other people's words and thoughts. Struggling with comparison and seeking validation. With that being said, it took me a long time to learn that external validation is NOT a prerequisite for self-appreciation. To not measure my self-worth based on others' views of my appearance and work. Easier said than done, yes but it’s of the utmost importance that I remind myself of this daily. It helped medevelop thicker skin to continuemypath despite the rejection. I would be lying if I said the industry didn’t still get to me from time to time, but I’m human it’s inevitable. We are happy that you have found that balance needed to succeed. So many don’t find that peace of mind in that kind of job. Now with your latest project finally wrapped up do you have anythingin the works you can share with us. Me too and I hope this allows someone else to see they can do it too! 17
