Thanks somuch for your time tonightHope. We are so happy to finally get you into the magazine as our featured guest. You have been doing some amazing things since moving to GA. Tell the Ryze Fam where you from and what you’ve been doing lately. Ryze Up has been like a family to me over the past few years so I’m honored to be a part of it. Thank you, guys, for having me. I was born in Sumter, South Carolina though I was raised all over fromDenver, Colorado; Cincinnati, Ohio; to Kings Mountain, North Carolina. Then I signed with my current agent and moved to Atlanta, GA for acting.Since being in Atlanta I’ve booked my first SAG-AFTRA show and some other cool gigs! You can check out some of my recent acting work on The CW's reboot of "Dynasty" in Season 3 Episode 8 opposite Elizabeth Gillies on Netflix. Newly, you can see my lead role as Carrie Caudill on "Your Worst Nightmare" in Season 6 Episode 3 on Hulu. I recently wrapped from Marvel Studios’ new miniseries “Hawkeye” where I photo doubled for the actress Hailee Steinfeld who plays Kate Bishop. Getting to wear a young avenger costume and work alongside superheroes all while being in a global pandemic was mental! When I’mnot in front of the camera I’ve been doing hands on work with making costumes for cosplay and impersonation work. My most recent costume build was Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman which I will be showcasing on the 4th of July at the Atlanta Skyview. Getting back tomy southern roots I’ve started doing tactical shooting again which is something I grew up doing. I’m looking to start competing and work towards transitioning my shooting skills to some on camera rolls and stunt work. In addition, I dabble in photography and videography as well. Wow that’s amazing. Now you played the lead role in “Your Worst Nightmare” how was that experience overall? More pressure or just another day doing what you love? Overall, it was life altering. Truly ineffable. It set the bar high for what I strive for in my process and work moving forward. There was more pressure for this show but not due to being the lead. The pressure came from it being a true story. My focus during filming was to make sure that Carrie’s story was told accurately and authentically. After what she went through, she deserved that, and it was in my hands to make it happen. I wasn’t allowed to contact the person I was portraying but my team did an amazing job with giving me information from interviews they had with her, to sharing details from police reports. I don’t want to give away too many details to the viewers who haven’t watched it yet but what she went through was hell and my goal was to go through it with her and create something that accurately shed light on her story. The process was emotionally draining but I loved it and was honored to be a part of the team that got her story out. So, I have heard that it canbe a real challenge to channel a character like that. Either way you did an amazing job. Now you just wrapped up work in a Marvel project. How was the experience while acting/interacting with other stars like Jeremy and Hailee? It can be. I had a medic on set that was required to be there after emotional or violent scenes to help me separate myself from it. Everyone is different but depending on the actor and their method it can be a slippery slope if you don't allow yourself the time and space to decompress and "come back to reality". For me it was all so real, and it took a bit to release Carrie's trauma from my psyche 15
