20 REN GALERA: THE MAKING OF A MODERN ARTIST Some artists spend years trying to find their voice. Ren Galera has been listen- ing to hers since she was a child. Ef- fortlessly moving between English and Spanish, Ren’s music reflects the way she lives authentic, fluid, and unafraid to blend worlds. From taking her first steps into music at just seven years old to stepping onto national stages like The Voice and La Voz, her journey has been anything but ordinary. Grounded by family, driven by self-belief, and fu- eled by a deep love for expression, Ren is carving out a sound that feels honest rather than calculated. With new music, visuals, and an exciting 2026 ahead, she’s not just following a path she’s creating one. Hey Ren, how are you, and how have things been going for you?” I’ve been doing really well. There’s been so much happening all at once, and I’m feeling incredibly grateful. “Before we get into your new project, can you tell us about your journey how you got into music and what in- spired you to pursue this career?” I’ve been drawn to music since I was about seven years old. At sixteen, I at- tended an artist development school and began taking vocal lessons. Shortly after, my vocal coach encouraged me to confront my fear of singing in public by attending open calls for The Voice and American Idol. We never expected me to be casted on my first try. After my experiences on The Voice and La Voz, I began working with Christian and Jonathan at the Creatives Factory in Dallas. It’s been a rollercoaster, but I’m incredibly blessed to have such an amazing team helping me navigate the opportunities that have come my way. “As a bilingual artist, how do you decide whether to sing in English, Spanish, or both on a song?” I honestly don’t overthink it. Just like when I’m talking with my family and Spanglish naturally comes out, the same thing happens when I write mu- sic. I let it flow in whatever language feels most authentic to the song. “We know a music career is a mar- athon what keeps you motivated day after day?” Myself honestly, you have to be your own biggest cheerleader in this in- dustry.
