February 2019
Thanks for taking the time to chill and chat with the Ryze Fam tonight. In partnership with ReverbNa- tion you were chosen because of that wicked dope track Me, Myself & I. Now when I first heard the track it just set the tone because of how smooth it is. Give us some insight on how that song came to be. My pleasure! Thank you for choosing me! Me My- self & I is my first official music production and I wrote the song in less than an hour. Sometimes a song takes months to finish and other times you’re lucky- like in this case ha-ha. I started with the music- drums, keys etc. to set the mood. Then the Words and melody just came to me. So, you’re also the producer of the music? Now that’s phat!!!! When did you begin with your ca- reer in music production for yourself? Yes! I graduated from the independent music production program at UCLA in December 2018, and I basically made my first music production in September 2017, when I first started school. I just wanted to learn how to produce my own music because I got tired of working with flaky people. That’s always a wonderful thing to be able to cre- ate on your own time. Now you just dropped the video for you track about 3 weeks ago. It’s a cool looking film. Who was behind the concept and production of that? Thank you! I had another vision for the music vid- eo first and I was going to hire a crew to help me with that but being a student and living in LA is not always that easy ha-ha! So, I had to rethink that vision and create something simpler... I had my friend shoot the scenes for me and then I used iMovie to cut and edit. One thing is for sure you are very resourceful and that’s amazing. “Show Me” is another track that rocked the system tell us about that song and vid- eo as well. Show Me was one of the first songs that I released, and one of the songs on the album “Maybe It’s The Dope”, that I created together with Starry Millz- a London-based rapper that I met on Instagram. I’ve never met him in person so that’s cool that we managed to do an album together. For the vid- eo, we had his videographer in London send the scenes over to my videographer in LA. Well done on that collaboration!!! So, what do you see popping off next for you in your musical jour- ney? I have plenty of songs that I’ve been working on, and a lot of them will be on my album that I plan to release in 2019. Yesterday I recorded a music video for a song that I wrote together with my best friend, and I’m very excited about this one. How long before fans get to rock that one? And do you have a ball park timeframe on when the album will drop this year? I don’t have the exact dates yet, but the song will be released before the end of February- that’s a promise! The album might be a little longer, but in the meantime, I plan to perform some of the songs that’s going to be on the album. I do post sneak peaks on my Instagram every now and then. Where will you be performing at so fans can check you out? Throughout Los Angeles, mainly local spots. When it’s time, I will announce dates and times on my website and on all social media. Well we will all be waiting for that time eagerly. So, before we get out of here for the night is there anything else you would like to say to the Ryze Fam? I would like to thank you very much for choosing me as a featured artist in your magazine. I feel very blessed! I am super excited to share the mu- sic video for my next release, and I hope you’ll dig it! Keep an eye out for “All That Matters”.
