When I found out that Rob Zombie’s Freak’s on Parade Tour was making a stop at the MidFlor- ida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, FL, I immediately knew I had to go witness metal his- tory. When I arrived at the venue, you could feel the energy in the air, as fans were ready to see this stacked lineup, consisting of Rob Zombie, Mudvayne, Static-X and Powerman 5000. First up was Powerman 5000, who have been rocking the world since 1991. They did a fantas- tic job of getting the crowd warmed up for the night with their energetic set. Their energy on stage was contagious and you could tell that the fans were definitely getting pumped up for an amazing night ahead. Also, for those who didn’t know, the singer of Powerman 5000, Michael Cummings, is the brother of Rob Zombie. The band played their most well known hits includ- ing “Bombshell” and “When World’s Collide”. If you haven’t seen Powerman 5000 before, I highly recommend that you check them out as soon as possible.
