John Masters was sprung from the Washington DC indie pop/rock scene of the 90’s when labels like Teenbeat and Simple Machines put to wax Unrest, Tsunami, Chisel and more. From those influences he fronted the band Metropolitan for over a decade, and the group dazzled the East Coast in the 2000’s garage rock boom with Pavement, GBV tendencies and Sonic Youth, YLT propensities. His new solo project Harness Flux is a cultivation of many years worth of indie rock noise and New/No Wave style still ringing through John’s ears.

With a recent relocation to the West Coast, Harness Flux now resides in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA — and this new EP shows he has caught a new California fever with catchy hooks as well as acoustic / electric experimental riffs.
